CHITTAGONG, Sep 28 (BSS): Four activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, were arrested from Boroutan area under Patiya Shyamnagar early Saturday.
Mofiz Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Patiya thana said police arrested the Shibir activists in connection with a case lodged for vandalising vehicles in Patiya Shyamnagar.
The arrested activists during the primary interrogation confessed to their involvement in the incident, he added.
Another report adds from Rajshahi: police on Friday's early night have detained 18 Jamaat-Shibir activists for their alleged involvement in planning of committing subversive activities ahead of their tomorrow's hartal.
On a tip off, police of biennial a sudden raid at Tikapara Muhammadpur Jame mosque area under Boalia model police station and picked them at around 9.30 pm.
