Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) will play Rangamati District in the final match of the Walton Invitational National Women's Handball Tournament at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu MP will be the chief guest in the final match and distribute the prizes. Additional Director of the meet's sponsor Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar and Director of BJMC Arif Khan Joy will also present as special guests.
In the day's first semifinal, BJMC booked a seat for the final crushing Dinajpur District by 21-1 goal after leading the first half by 8-1.
Shahida scored six and Rozina netted three for the winners. Later, Shahida of BJMC was adjudged the player of the match.
In the day's other semifinal, Rangamati District reached final defeating Dhaka District by 25-18 goals after dominating the first session by 10-4 goals.
Shilpi contributed nine and Bablee netted seven for the winners while Rabeya scored seven and Bilkis five for the losers. Later, Luxmi of Rangamati named as player of the match.
