BKSP manages the absolute predominance in the Basundhara 29 age group swimming Cup 41 secure gold, 29 silver and bronze medals 23 on the second day of the three-day competition at the national swimming complex in Mirpur Saturday, reports linen
Gold, 13 silver and nine were Bangladesh Ansar in the distant second with nine bronzes, while Sagarkhali swim, swim team, Lalon Shah and Meherpur Cannstatt bagged four gold medals.
Four new record were on the second day, Saturday, raising the national record tally to eight in the first two days.
Zahidul Islam of BKSP won the Gold Medal with a new record in the young 100 meter butterfly for 13-14 age group 01: 04.17 seconds clocking; Nayan Ali of Lalon Shah Cannstatt clinched the Gold Medal with a new national brand boys 200 m freestyle for the age group of 11-12 years with a timing of 2: 22.30 seconds.
Rasheda Khatun Meherpur swimming club picked up the gold medal, the national brand girls 50 m freestyle for 10-year age group 36,59 seconds clocking, while Marium Khatun took the gold medal in the girls 200 m butterfly with national record in the age group 15-17 years with a timing of 03: 03.17 seconds set.
President of Bangladesh swimming Federation and Chief of Bangladesh Navy Vice Admiral M Farid Habib will meet chef Gast of the function of the three-day Sunday and the prices to distribute.
